WHEN I FIRST MET KHALID GHAYUR he was looking for a producer for his next record. Initially I was impressed with Kal Ghayur the musician. His instinctual talent as a vocalist and songwriter was a wonderful surprise and this made our collaboration a great pleasure.

Then I met his family and I was impressed by Kal Ghayur the hard-working father and husband.

But over time I was the most impressed by Kal Ghayur the humanitarian. Many of us in the US who work for a living make what seem to be feeble attempts at charity by donating to relief organizations when there are natural disasters, or to the local food bank to feed those who are hungry in our community. But Khalid Ghayur, and his partners in MOVE, have directly and profoundly changed the lives of thousands of people in his native Pakistan.
